The Fool is the call to adventure on the Hero’s Journey. The beginning of the story, the excitement of the new ally to the naivete of someone who is unaware of the difficulties of the way. The discovery of new powers, without, however, knowing how to use them.
Another interpretation of The Fool, from the perspective of the Path of the Serpent in the Tree of Life *, is that of “enlightenment”, the attainment of a state of higher consciousness. The end of a trajectory of personal growth.
Remember that “fool” is also the label given to those who propagate ideas contrary to common sense. Until science gives logic to the apparent deviations or the owners of power change, and new truths are announced. Multitudes of blind people call the beholder fool.
